Chernivtsi Regional State Museum of Folk Architecture and Life is an architectural and landscape complex of monuments of national building of the late ХVIII – first half of XX century, which contains about 40 buildings, including four peasant farmsteads of different social layers of the population of Dniester-Prut interfluvial, blacksmith shop, tavern, village council. Interesting is also the wooden St. Nicholas Church of 1810 of the so-called house type with a bell tower. Highlight of the exhibition is windmills of the early XX century. The museum has more than 8000 ethnographic exhibits, of which 1500 are on display. The collection of funds includes agricultural machinery, tools, household items. In particular, there are rich collections of holiday and everyday folk garments, woven products, ornamented jerkins and coats, decorated Hutsul purses and so on. Also in the collection of funds there are large collections of pottery, metal wares, folk musical instruments and more. The museum attracts with numerous ethical holidays and festivals. Every year there occur "From Christmas to Jordan" "The Renewal Fest", "Bukovinian meetings". Architectural memorial of national significance.
