This place of worship was initially built in Vicovu de Sus in the year 1743 and, it was only in 1818 that it was brought to Bilca. The cemetery which was built around the church brought that later, in 1868, after the village built a new church, to be used only as cemetery church. The church is made of round fir beams, combined in half round assemblages. The church has a rectangular shape and the sanctuary has a recessed apse. Inside, the walls have been coated with fir boards. The roof is tall, with four slopes and is made of shingles.
