The building was originally the property of the imperial-royal military Ministry, from 1901 – property of the state, and since 1929 – of the officers’ club named after Grygorie Gika. In the Austrian period on the brink of the XIX and XX centuries the casino operated here for the military, the idea of which belonged to the imperial-royal field marshal-lieutenant baron Kudelka. The building then had a bit of a different look than now. After a fire in 1866 and 1890 it has undergone the restructuring. Now a regional puppet theater is located here.
