Description

This is one of once the most popular coaching inns of the city. The first owner was Jacob von Mikuli, then Cecilia Bilig. The hotel was the center of cultural and artistic life of the region in its time. Ferenc Liszt gave concerts here in 1847. The Romanian theatrical collectives led by Fani Tardini, Mihai Pascali, Matei Millo, Alexandru Vladicescu often performed here. These shows affected the forming of the future world-renown Romanian poet Mihai Eminescu. The future composer Ciprian Porumbescu visited concerts and performances here.
