The museum came into existence upon the private initiative of Lazăr Pardău and comprises almost 2000 pieces, most of them of ethnographic nature: weavers and instruments for this type of craft, to which household items, sheepfold inventory, hope chest, different woven materials, popular costumes, leather articles, ceramic or traditional means of transport. The museum collection contains also photos and documents of that time from Dornelor area.
