According to tradition, at Moldovița on the Palm Sunday, it takes place the festival of painted eggs. The festival includes several sections: painted eggs (for children and adults), old traditional art, where the participants present old traditional clothing, icons and items. Also, the participants make meagre traditional dishes and fish dishes. This event is a manifestation which aims to make the most and to promote the cultural and craft traditions of Hutsul ethnicity from Bukovina. The event is organised by the Mayoralty and the Local Council of Moldovița.
