Description

Every year, at the end of the month of August and the beginning of the September, ”Ochiul de Păun” Potters and Craftsmen´s Fair takes place. The idea of these meetings is owed to the well-known craftsman Constantin Colibaba, the one who continued and took forward the tradition of Kuty ceramics. Form one year to another, more and more craftsmen come from Horezu, Baia Mare, Timiş, Marginea, Corund, Arad etc. The decorative and usual ceramics, flowers pots, plates, jars, trays, monochromatic or multi-coloured, enammeld or matt, are exhibited, year by year, at a sort of ”national championship of ceramic workers”, organised at Rădăuți. Usually, the event is organised by the Mayoralty of Rădăuți, Suceava County Council, ”Samuil și Eugenia Ioneț” Museum of Ethnography.
