Description
It has a special value for the Jewish community of Romania, but also for the Jewish community in the world. The cemetery has a large number of gravestones bearing carved decorations with various Hebrew motifs. The oldest gravestone dates back the 1560, proving that the old Siret cemetery is also one of the oldest cemeteries in the Eastern Europe, being declared historical monument.
