Description

Solca house-museum is situated on the access road to Arbore Monastery being a representative monument regarding the traditional architecture, culture and civilization of Bukovina. It is a popular architectural monument which dates back the XVIIth century, being representative for the ethnographic area of Rădăuţi. The house comprises a room, porch, turret-room and clay porch. The kitchen has a traditional hearth and cooking stove rebuilt after the typology of the heating means used there. The big house is organised based on the traditional specificity, with the dowry bed, clothing cabinet, benches along the walls and the heating stove.
