Description

Pruncul Chapel bears the name of an important Armenian family called Prunkul. It was built in 1902 in the Armenian cemetery from the city of Suceava by three members of the Armenian noble family called Pruncul: Michael Bogdan von Prunkul, Warteres Garabeth von Prunkul and Sofie Walerian von Prunkul. Initially, this was the burial vault of this family, afterwards being turned into a cemetery chappel. This is a special edifice being the only Armenian place of worship from Suceava, having a massive vault and eight sided pyramid-shaped roof.
