This church was built in the year 1522 by the logothete Gavril Trotuşan, marking an important moment in the evolution of Moldavian architecture. Its tower, the four-slope roof and the two crosses on the roof are missing, but the characteristc note is given by the porch. It has an unusual shape with two floors: the downside having two arches connected by a median pillar, and the upper one serving as bell tower, with four arches, two on the east front and two on the sides. This type of porch was afterwards artistically developed at the monuments from Voroneţ and Moldoviţa.
